"Anugerah Sekolah Harapan Negara"

"Anugerah Sekolah Harapan Negara" or The Country's School of Hope Award is a token of appreciation and declaration made by the Ministry of Education Malaysia towards a group of teachers (colectively) within a school, which is a unit of base educational institute, upon their dedication and sacrifices as a teacher towards an education development and also to develop the people of nations. The award will declared the school as a sample in the present context which can be used by the other schools to evaluate prominently upon their students improvement, the challenge and also risks which have to be faced by the educators at the schools in conjunction of implementing the school responsibilities upon education.
SMK Kanowit has been nominated for Anugerah Sekolah Harapan Negara Kategori Luar Bandar Peringat Negeri Sarawak 2007 in February, one of the five schools in Sarawak in the category, which is SMK Siburan, SMK Muara Tuang, SMK Patimbun (Limbang) and SMK Song. Inspections has been done on the 2nd - 3rd April 2007 by 4 judges (selected teachers from other school). The judges are satisfied upon the contributions of each schools. The result will be notifiy on the teachers day which falls on 16th May 2007.
